Attorney Seth Glazer, a partner with Church Watson Law, recently earned his board certification in the field of family law from the North Carolina State Bar. As a family law attorney, Glazer represents clients in cases of alimony, property division, divorce, child custody and child support. He strives to find equitable and fair solutions for each client.
“Earning this certification is a tremendous accomplishment for Seth,” remarks fellow partner Kary Church Watson, who earned her board certification as a family law specialist in 2008. “This process is comparable to a second bar, and many do not pass. Due to the degree of difficulty, very few family law attorneys earn this certification.”
The family law specialty certification process is both extensive and rigorous. All applicants are required to present peer references and peer reviews, as well as demonstrate comprehensive experience within the field of family law. In addition to these requirements, applicants seeking certification must also complete and pass a detailed, six-hour exam.
Glazer has been negotiating and litigating family law cases since 2010. He currently serves as the vice-chair of the Family Law Section at the Mecklenburg County Bar, as well as a volunteer judge for the Mecklenburg County Teen Court. Among his accomplishments, Glazer has been recognized by Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite 2016 and American Institute of Family Law’s 10 Best in NC for Client Satisfaction. Glazer was also the recipient of the North Carolina Art of Law Award in 2015.
